My Kusanagi for Sasuke cosplay by BloodOfUchiha My Kusanagi for Sasuke cosplay by BloodOfUchiha
As stated in the picture (you looked at it, right =|?), heres my Kusanagi that I made for my PTS Sasuke cosplay (the version with the white, short-sleeved shirt). Sad thing is, I learned that they didn't allow wood and/or metal props at Animethon until AFTER i finished making this. So it was confiscated within the first 5 mins i entered the building...

Okay well the "self-made" part is kinda a lie...I had a LITTLE help from my dad...hey, i took part in painting it <.< ....>.>...(jk =[ I did a more than that)

Lol anyways.
-It took about a week to make.
-Most difficult part was sanding the metal part to make it LOOK sharp, but not actually.
-The line in the middle is actually painted darker than the outside, but it doesn't exactly look like that in the picture.
-Swords r kool

EDIT: Erm. In case it wasn't clear enough. IT ISN'T ACTUALLY SHARP! It may look like it is, but its still dull on the edge =O!

EDIT 2: Someone noticed that I wrote the last letter, the KE in Sasuke wrong. (Damn and i thought no one would notice....XD)
Yeah, a couple months back, i noticed that i accidently missed a TINY part sticking out the side, and ended up writing KU instead. I fixed it before, but i was just too lazy to change it here XP

How did you make a hole in the wood ; ) ?

It's common for conventions these days to not allow metal props/weaponry in; LAC (which I'm going to in July) also doesn't allow metal weaponry (apart from for the masquerade). But they don't allow wood-based weapons there either?! At LAC, they only confiscate metal weaponry and realistic guns - you're allowed solid wood weapons though, as long as it's not too sharp :/

I'm looking at making one for my Sasuke fursuit, so it's probably now going to have to be a wood/foam hybrid.

That's one nice piece of weaponry/artwork you got there, you're pretty skilled. Don't let the killjoys beat your spirit! :D

First of all, INCREDIBLE BLADE! this is awesome! one thing that bugs me (sorry i'm ridden with pet peeves lol) is that the characters are not kanji, but a mix of katakana and hiragana. they're beautifully done characters, however (i wish my Chinese calligraphy was as good as your Japanese lol) and this is a really fine prop blade. Good job!

.....I know this is probably bothersome but--THIS IS UBER AWESOME!--and I was wondering if you could give me some sort of explanation as to how you made the blade look so good....?

I wanna make one xD
Its looks so good, though my woodworking skills are terrible...I failed to make a round clock before xDD
The leaf symbol came out good though, maybe I should post the clock on here and see what people think. Though it was made in...2008 and at school so xD

^^ Kepp rocking bro.
